Q1: I eat a very clean, plant based diet, and I have a healthy lifestyle in general. It’s mild acne, but I think it’s mostly hormonal seeing that it gets sort of bad around period time. Do you know any foods/natural ways of balancing my hormones?

The end of new year is an excellent time to reflect on the previous twelve months. I always strive to maintain the belief that every challenge, every hardship has the power to teach us something: about ourselves, about other people, about what we did really well, or about what we could have done differently so that we can make better choices in the future. Furthermore, we can see how things perhaps made us wiser, stronger, more courageous, more confident, or more compassionate.
Social media is one of the biggest time-sucks out there now days. It’s easy to just keep adding channels to our broadcast where we aren’t effective on any of them or are just repeating the same messages or information across all the channels.
It’s simply not an effective strategy and it’s not worth it. So why do it?
One of my favorite parts of last month at home was getting up before the sun (I know!) and writing my morning pages. I’m surprised to say this myself. I mean, who wouldn’t rather curl up under the cozy and warm?
But there’s something magical about this dark time.
